By the description it sounds like a positive thing for Chester I’ve been wondering why the riverfront hasn’t had this attraction before.
We keep waiting for the river to freeze
Hello Stephen,Chester getting a Ice Skating Rink. That’s fantastic. That’s great. That’s something different for Chester. I grew up in Chester and remember when Chester had a Roller Skating Rink. I think I remember we [the blacks] could only go on Sat’s. Don’t you think a roller skating rink would be used more, by us, than a ice skating rink? Just wanted to ask you that question. Thank you very much. Juanita Ballitzme1@verizon.net
An indoor roller skating rink would be a huge attraction in Chester. The outdoor ice skating rink is a temporary novelty for the winter months located in Chester for the enjoyment of Delaware County residents (which includes Chester City). There’s an outdoor roller skating rink in Chester Park that doesn’t get too much action mainly because most of us don’t own roller skates. This past summer there were several events on that rink where skates were made available. They weren’t overwhelmed with participants. Hope that sort of answers your question.
