CHESTER, PA – To mark the return to the classroom in the 2021-22 school year, Adelphia Gateway, an NJR Midstream company, joined U.S. Pipeline for a back-to-school giveaway for students in Chester City.

A donation of backpacks filled with pencils, notebooks, crayons, snacks and more, courtesy of Adelphia Gateway and U.S. Pipeline, was made at the Chester Faith Temple Holy Church. The church will distribute the much-needed school supplies independently to children in underserved communities.

Members of the U.S. Pipeline team helped to deliver the supplies and said, “We are happy to team with Adelphia Gateway and local schools, municipalities and organizations to provide school supplies to the children of the communities we are working in. U.S. Pipeline values the importance of education and supporting surrounding neighborhoods.”

Adelphia Gateway is a pipeline owner and operator dedicated to bringing low-cost natural gas to the Greater Philadelphia region. The company currently is working to serve constrained markets and benefit communities in southeastern PA by converting the southern 50 miles of an existing 84-mile pipeline from oil to natural gas. Beyond the natural gas it delivers, Adelphia Gateway recognizes the important role it plays in the community.

“Adelphia Gateway is pleased to support the community by providing school supplies to children in traditionally underserved areas,” said Ginger Richman, president of Adelphia Gateway. “We are committed to being a responsible corporate citizen, and we value the role that education plays in making our communities stronger.”
