As we enjoy the final month of summer, looming on the horizon is the November 2 election where I’m vying for a seat on Chester City Council.
After the March 18th primary, it was thought that myself and fellow Democratic Party incumbent Portia West would skate on to victory in November since there is no Republican opponent in November, but there has been a new twist neither of us anticipated.
There is a 3rd candidate on the ballot for November who is a member of the Green Party.
Let’s make it clear once and for all, right here, right now…I am not running my campaign for Chester City Council with, or in support of, any Green Party candidate.
However, if there is a Democratic Party candidate(s) from the national, state, county, or Chester City areas slated to run in the fall and you’d like me to consider campaigning with or supporting your efforts, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
I can’t make it any simpler than that!
What difference does it make if they are republican, democrat or Green Party if it is in bettering the good of Chester. Should that not be the number one concern
On a local individual basis, yes. But this is party politics. The big money and support for Chester comes from the county, state and federal level. They demand party loyalty.
Great Picture of you!! You have my vote!!
