The first story on the morning TV news was COVID related (and the second, and the third). So, why not start your day with some Chester Covid news.

Since my last report on April 30, Chester has added 96 more cases as of Friday compared to 36 new cases in Ridley Township who seems to be leveling off while Chester cases still rise at alarming rates. Chester remains at the 3rd highest case count in the county.

Chester has slowly creeped up to become one the leading towns in Delaware County’s COVID death count.

  1. Middletown Township 222
  2. Marple Township 145
  3. Haverford Township 118
  4. Upper Darby 99
  5. Chester 82

Still no guidance or information on chestercity.com/coronavirus/, but Chester’s Health Bureau wrote they are tracking these numbers, too.
