I’ve been playing the roll of Public Health data collector for COVID in Chester with the data provided by the Chester/Delaware County COVID website.
Since the last time I brought you some numbers on April 21, Chester has added 99 new cases and Ridley Township added less than half as many (45 new cases).
For Chester, that’s new 299 cases in 21 days. There’s been a few deaths in that mix, too. There’s not public COVID testing going on that I know of so these new cases are folks that are really sick with symptoms and going to their doctors or hospitals for help.
These numbers are some of the worst Chester has experienced during the entire pandemic at a time when much of the rest of the county has a rate that is leveling off and even dropping.
