This week, Chester City hit the 2300 mark of COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began.

Since I’ve been tracking these cases by the hundreds, it has been 3 weeks since the last milestone of 2200. Prior to that, it was two 2-week periods between 2000 and 2200 cases. Before then, we went for 10 straight weeks reporting 100 cases per week.

Ridley Township is creeping up on Chester with their 2275 cases (150 new) and Haverford Township’s 2715 cases (200 new). Upper Darby won’t be denied with their 5612 cases.

Case counts across the county breakdown like this:

  1. Upper Darby (5612)
  2. Haverford Township (2715)
  3. Chester (2302)
  4. Ridley Township (2275)
  5. Marple Township (1776)

10. Yeadon (1073)
