Just a reminder that the first of six lead screenings for Chester residents sponsored by Keystone First today, March 4th, from 4:00 – 7:00pm at the Keystone First Wellness and Opportunity Center, located at 1929 W. 9th Street (9th and Flower Streets).

All screenings are free and are for children 6 and under.  The schedule is below.  Wednesdays are primarily for Keystone First members, but a child does not have to be a KF member to be screened.  The Saturday events will be more widely publicized to the public and all children under six who attend are eligible for screening.  All events will have free face painting, a magician and free snacks.

Community, healthcare, and early childhood organizations are invited to have a table at the screenings.  We are set for the screening tomorrow, but if you are interested in participating in any of the future screenings, please let me know by the end of this week.  Please also feel free to pass this invitation along to other groups.  The Saturday events in particular will be a great way to connect with families who have young children and we would love to have different community organizations there to provide information about their programs and services.

Finally, the Coalition will have a table at all six events, and I am looking for volunteers to sit at our table and also circulate throughout the venues to encourage parents to get their children tested.  I need volunteers for all of the screenings except Wednesday March 11th.  Please let me know as soon as possible if you can assist.
