Philadelphia, Pa. – Widener University’s Center for Human Sexuality Studies is pleased to present two free public screenings of the documentary “parTy boi: Black Diamonds in Ice Castles,” which sheds light on substance use among LGBT communities of color.
The award-winning documentary delves into the kaleidoscopic world of crystal meth addiction and uses within queer communities of color.
The first screening will be on campus on Tuesday, April 16 at 1 p.m. in the University Center Webb Room, 1821 E. 13th St., Chester, Pennsylvania. Following this screening, faculty will lead an interdisciplinary workshop aimed at unpacking the intricate intersections of drug addiction, policy, race and sexuality.
The second screening will be held off campus on Wednesday, April 17 at 7 p.m. at Roxy Theater, 2023 Sansom Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A Q&A with the filmmaker, Michael Rice, will be held after the screening.
