Jean Pierre Brice and crew are launching an Internet radio station broadcasting out of Upland Mills beginning September 2, 2017.
Starting with an almost blank slate of programming slots available in their 7 day-24 hour broadcast week, Brice is seeking Artists, Poets, DJs, Radio Personalities, Community Activists, Health Guru’s, R&B and Pop Singers, Painters, Family, Friends and All Positive People who are looking for a place to share their talents or spread their word.
The overriding theme of this endeavor is to give young people the opportunity to work in broadcasting and journalism, and to provide another outlet for local coverage of news, sports, entertainment, and a place to say what’s on your mind.
A few dozen people came out to their launch party (Social Mixer) at Abstract Reality Art Gallery and Photography Studio last night where Brice introduced the concept of the station and some of the faces behind the brand.
I learned afterwards that he’s the nephew of Bernadette Givens-Matthews, the Queen of Cape May, who is a key organizer of Cape May’s Exit Zero Jazz Festival in November and she’s been hosting an Internet jazz show for years. So, Jean Pierre gets it honestly.
