Despite the challenges at Chester police headquarters, some great police work is still taking place.

CHESTER >> Authorities say a man bought a dirt bike that was advertised on Craigslist using $1,200 counterfeit cash and then put the stolen merchandise back up for sale, this time using the OfferUp mobile application.

When the victims-turned-sleuths tracked down the scammer, they set up a meeting under a fake name to essentially buy back their bike. But the owners then worked with Chester police who, according to charging documents, put into motion a sting that landed two alleged thieves in jail, recovered two stolen firearms and got back the bike.
