Chester’s recovery plan seems to be working as we learn almost weekly that city employees, including police officers, are resigning from their jobs with the City of Chester.
The Spirit paper features a small article on Jonathan Abdur-Rahim King being the second member of the city’s Community Liaison Team to resign their duties with The City.
The Act-47 recovery plan recommends a reduction in work force to help balance the budget. The City’s 2017 preliminary budget should be released soon. I believe it was approved last month. There may be some information in it that explains the mass exodus of city workers.
