Sosi, a retired major from the Ghana Armed Forces with more than 17 years of service, has pulled from his experience servicing the army’s heavy duty armored vehicles, trucks, buses and cars into a small business operating out of Morton, Pennsylvania. With the help of the Widener SBDC and seniors in a Widener School of Business Administration capstone course, Sosi has officially launched Autocare Mobile Services in the Delaware, Chester and Philadelphia counties.

Autocare Mobile Services provides customers with oil changes, car washes, detailing and other accessory services at their preferred location and convenience. Sosi’s business model is highly innovative as customers will no longer have to spend time traveling to and waiting at traditional car maintenance shops.

Sosi, who holds a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana, hopes that Autocare Mobile Services becomes a sustainable business model and a leader in on-site automotive maintenance services. His long-term goal is to replicate his business model in the international market as a way for other entrepreneurs to start mobile auto care businesses of their own.
