(CHESTER, PA) – On Saturday, June 11, 2016, from 11am to 1pm, Mayor Thaddeus Kirkland and several local faith-based leaders from the City of Chester and surrounding areas will hold a, “100 Men, Women & Children March.”
This march was organized in effort to promote unity and peace within the City of Chester. As part of a newly-established partnership between Mayor Thaddeus Kirkland and local-faith based leaders, this initiative will serve as the first of three yearly marches that will be held throughout the city in areas that are considered to be “high-crime” territories.
The march will begin in the parking lot of Grace Church of God in Christ, located on 22nd and Edgmont Streets in Chester.
March participants will be divided into four groups and directed to walk strategic routes throughout 22nd & Edgmont Streets as a “unified front.”
