These are the community honorees: Dr. Kristin Ball-Motley of Health Care Solutions of Delaware Valley; Joan Broadfield of the Youth Aid panel; attorney Enrique Latoison; Ron Paden of Paden Bro’s Haircutting Salon; Desiree Potts, president of CHOICES; and Dr. Joyce Raisin, former dean of Widener University’s School of Nursing.
Autumn A. Bey, Edward E. Nelson, Aya I. Salim, LaTiera M. Sheridan-Sparks and Jeron D. Thompkins were the youth honorees.
Dawiyah McNeil is a 17-year-old Chester High School student was a scholarship recipient at this year’s awards dinner. She received a $2,000 scholarship on behalf of The Bernice Sission Culinary Arts Education Fund, taking it with her to Delaware County Community College.
