Are you searching for a program that will distinguish your child and make them attractive to college admission officers? Do you want them to engage in productive work that will develop their budgeting, marketing and communication skills? If so, you should sign your child up for Youth Action’s Inspiring Leaders Program!

The goal of the program is to enhance student’s confidence, competence and awareness of socially relevant issues so that they will become effective leaders in their communities.

Over the course of 12 weeks, 9th and 10th grade high school students will gain the skills necessary to become effective leaders in their communities. Students will receive up to $2500 in order to plan and execute a service project of their choice.

Past service projects range from fashion shows to raise awareness for domestic violence to family fun days to raise funds for childhood cancer.

All sessions will be held on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania and will be facilitated by local college student leaders. The program is open to all 9th and 10th grade Philadelphia high school students.

The online version of the application can be accessed here or through our website at http://youthactionteam.org/. The application is due by Friday, April 29, 2016.
