An overflow crowd packed the Chester City Hall community room for Thaddeus Kirkland’s first Town Hall Meeting since becoming mayor. Tonight’s meeting introduced the transition plan he and his staff look to implement during his tenure. Each representative of the transition team took about 15 minutes to give an overview of what their particular area will focus on.

The crowd appeared appreciative to see and hear from the mayor’s team and much of what they reported was well received by everyone in attendance.

Unfortunately, there weren’t enough copies of the transition plan for all attendees even though Mayor Kirkland repeatedly encouraged the crowd to read the report. I wasn’t one of the lucky ones to get a report so I can’t report on its contents.

Hopefully, the report will be posted on the city web site or made available at City Hall for pick up or sent via direct mail on request.
