Chester, PA – December 21, 2015 – On Monday, January 4, 2016 Mayor-elect Thaddeus Kirkland will officially be sworn in as the Mayor of the City of Chester. The inauguration, which includes the swearing in of Mayor-elect Kirkland, as well as incumbent Council Members Nafis Nichols, Elizabeth Williams and City Controller, Edith Blackwell, will be held inside of Chester City Council Chambers, located on the 2nd floor of Chester City Hall at 9:00 a.m.
The swearing-in ceremony is free and open to the general public. Due to limited space, seating will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The inaugural ceremony will be followed by a luncheon at St. Luke Community Christian Church in Chester where Mayor-elect, all Council Members and the City Controller will be joined by more than 250 invited guests.
